The FCI 95687-438HLF is a 38-position, dual-row, unshrouded male pin header from the BERGSTIK® II series, designed for board-to-board interconnects. It uses a standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch on both rows and between rows, matching the legacy DIP footprint that board layout engineers will recognize immediately. All 38 positions are loaded, so the pin count on the BOM line is the circuit count — no partial-population surprises. Rated at 5A per contact with a 110V voltage rating, this header handles signal-level currents and light power distribution. The 5A per contact is typical for a 0.100" pitch header — it's the contact-to-contact spacing, not the pin itself, that limits current here. The tin-on-tin contact finish (100.0µin on the mating side) is suited for applications with a moderate number of mating cycles, not for frequent reconnection in a corrosive environment. The housing is rated UL94 V-0, so it meets the flame-retardancy requirement for equipment inside an enclosure. Through-hole solder termination gives a reliable mechanical anchor on the PCB.

The 0.360" (9.14mm) mating pin length and 0.820" (20.83mm) overall length give enough reach to mate with a standard receptacle through a board-to-board stack.
