Contact Interface and Mating Cycles
The mating face carries 30.0 µinch (0.76 µm) GXT™ gold over nickel — Amphenol ICC's high-cycle gold alloy. For a connector mated quarterly in a test fixture or field-service access panel, that plating grade supports well over 500 cycles before the gold wears through to the base metal. The solder tail is tin-plated (78.7 µinch / 2.00 µm), which is standard for wave-solder wetting on through-hole leads.
