24-Pin 2.00mm Pitch Shrouded Header for Dense Board-to-Board or Cable Interconnects
It uses a 2.00mm pitch — tighter than the older 2.54mm standard — which frees up board area for trace routing between pads on a 2-layer PCB. A full 4-wall shroud surrounds the pins, protecting them during handling and alignment.
Surface Mount Assembly and Board Fit
This header is surface-mount only (SMT) — no through-hole legs. Mated insulation height is 0.244" (6.20mm) — a mid-profile height that clears typical components on the board. The contact mating length is 0.157" (4.00mm), providing adequate wipe for reliable contact. A keying slot in the shroud prevents incorrect mating orientation — the header will only accept the matching receptacle in one position.
This header mates with Minitek® 2.00mm receptacle housings (female, crimp or IDC) that have the same 2.00mm pitch and dual-row layout. Style is listed as Board to Board or Cable — it can connect two PCBs directly or serve as a wire-to-board interface via a crimped receptacle.
