64-Position 0.50mm Pitch FFC/FPC Connector – Aorora F31L
The F31L-1A7H1-11064: This Amphenol ICC (FCI) Aorora F31L connector is a 64-position, 0.020" (0.50mm) pitch FFC/FPC connector with a right-angle SMT termination and a ZIF slide lock actuator. It accepts FFC or FPC cables with bottom contacts and is rated for 0.5A per contact at 50V. The housing is natural LCP rated UL94 V-0, and the actuator is halogen-free PA9T nylon.
The 0.50 mm pitch sets a tight board footprint — the 64 positions require careful fan-out on the PCB, typically a 4-layer board for signal escape.
The ZIF slide lock mechanism — no insertion force on the FFC — allows the cable to be inserted with the actuator open, then locked by sliding the actuator closed. This is a bottom-contact design, meaning the FPC pads face down toward the PCB. Mating cycle life is 30 cycles, which is adequate for a single-assembly harness but not for frequent reconnection in the field.
