The HLW28R-2C7LF: The connector accepts FPC thicknesses of 0.30 mm or 0.33 mm — the contact beam is designed for that range, so a 0.30 mm FPC seats fully and the 0.33 mm FPC gives a slightly higher normal force. Right-angle through-hole mounting with kinked pins: the pins lock into the plated through-holes and resist pull-out during cable insertion. The 0.154" (3.90 mm) height above board keeps the connector low-profile for tight enclosures.
30 Mating Cycles — Tin-Plated, Low-Cycle-Duty Signal Connector
That is a single-mate lifetime for most harness builds — the connector is designed for one or two insertions over its service life, not repeated reconnection. The top-contact configuration means the FPC conductive pads face upward when the connector is mounted. The black actuator locks the cable in place; it flips down over the FPC to hold the contacts against the beams.
