Product details

HSD® Quadraxial Plug for 100 Ohm Differential Signal Paths

The Rosenberger HSDNCRPPCB7B is a single-port HSD® (High-Speed Data) plug with male pin contacts, part of the Fakra/Quadraxial connector family designed for 100 Ohm differential signal transmission.

100 Ohm Impedance and 25-Cycle Mating Life

The 25 mating cycles are low, typical for a sealed automotive connector that mates once at harness assembly and stays mated for the vehicle life; it is not designed for repeated field disconnect.

Board-Mount and Termination Details

Both the signal contacts and the shield are solder-terminated, so the shield connection is soldered to the PCB ground plane — no separate ground strap required. The housing is a blue thermoplastic with a zinc-alloy body finished in tin, giving the shell both RF shielding and environmental protection.

Code C Keying and Compatibility

This plug carries Code C keying, which is the Fakra color-code variant for the HSD interface. Code C mates only with a Code C receptacle — the keying prevents cross-mating with other codes in the same physical shell. It is compatible with standard HSD connectors of the same code and impedance; the interface follows the HSD® standard defined by Rosenberger.

Frequently asked questions

How many mating cycles does HSDNCRPPCB7B support?

The HSDNCRPPCB7B is rated for 25 mating cycles. This is a low-cycle count typical for a sealed automotive connector that mates once at harness assembly and stays mated for the vehicle life.

Is HSDNCRPPCB7B compatible with standard HSD connectors?

Yes, the HSDNCRPPCB7B is compatible with standard HSD connectors that share the same Code C keying and 100 Ohm impedance. The interface follows the HSD® standard from Rosenberger.

What is the difference between HSDNCRPPCB7B and HSDNCRPPCB7A?

The difference is the keying code: HSDNCRPPCB7B carries Code C, while HSDNCRPPCB7A would carry a different code (typically Code A). The keying prevents cross-mating between different codes in the same shell size.
