PSMP Jack, 50 Ohm, 10 GHz — EMI Ring and Limited Detent
The PSMP-MSLD-PCTEM: It uses a snap-on fastening with a limited detent — the detent gives a positive tactile click on mate without the full axial force of a standard SMP, making it a good fit for blind-mate or dense panel applications where you need to feel the engagement but can't torque a nut. The EMI ring provides 360° shielding continuity around the interface, which keeps the return loss clean up to the 10 GHz ceiling.
The connector accepts both surface-mount and through-hole solder termination — the dual-footprint landing pattern lets you pick the assembly process that fits your board. Shield termination is compression, which means the outer conductor is grounded through the board via a compression fit rather than a solder joint, saving a step in the reflow line. The dielectric is Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP), a high-temp plastic that holds its shape through lead-free reflow profiles without wicking solder into the RF path.
