RCA phono jack — through-hole right-angle mount
The RCJ-2223 is a female mono RCA phono jack from CUI Devices' RCJ series, accepting the standard 3.20 mm ID by 9.00 mm OD industry-recognized mating plug. Rated 5 A at 24 VDC, with nickel-plated brass contacts and solder termination, the jack mounts through-hole right-angle for board-edge or panel applications.
Signal path — mono, no internal switch
The jack carries 2 sets of 2 conductors (3 contacts total) for a mono signal line — the tip and sleeve connections, plus a separate ground contact. No internal switch is present, so the signal path is always closed when mated. Insulation color coding (red and white) identifies the left and right channel positions on the dual-jack body.
Housing and environmental limits
The brass body and nickel-plated brass contacts sit in an ABS housing rated for -25°C to 70°C operation. The unshielded design omits a metal shell, and the board lock feature secures the jack during wave soldering. Body color is silver and black; the jack ships in a box package.
