The 08FMN-SMT-A-TF(LF)(SN): It accepts 0.30 mm thick FFC cable and uses a Low Insertion Force (LIF) contact design — the cable slides in without a flip-lock actuator, which keeps the board-side profile low at 3.00 mm above the PCB.
The contacts are on the top side of the connector — the FFC inserts with the conductor pattern facing up.
The closest peer in the FMN series is the 08FMN-BMT-A-TF(LF)(SN), which is a vertical-mount version with the same 1.00 mm pitch, 8 positions, and 0.5 A rating. The key difference is the mated height: the vertical part sits 5.10 mm above the board, while this right-angle part is 3.00 mm. If your board has components on the opposite side that need clearance, the right-angle version buys you 2.1 mm of z-height — but the vertical version lets the FFC stand upright, which can simplify cable routing in a deeper enclosure.
It is RoHS compliant (LF suffix). Cut Tape works for prototype or low-volume builds.
