JST 11DB-4K(LF) — 11-Position IDC Connector, 2.50mm Pitch, Closed End
The JST 11DB-4K(LF) is an 11-position, single-row IDC connector from the DB series, designed for terminating individual stranded wires (24-28 AWG) without stripping. The 2.50mm pitch on both the cable and board side matches standard 0.098-inch ribbon cable spacing and the corresponding PCB footprint. This is a closed-end version, meaning the connector terminates the cable run — it does not pass through to another connector. The black housing and tin-lead contact finish are standard for this series. It is a through-hole, press-fit connector, so the pins are pressed into plated holes on the board, not soldered.
The 2.50mm pitch is the center-to-center distance between adjacent pins. For the board layout engineer, this means the PCB footprint requires a single row of 11 plated through-holes spaced 2.50mm apart. The odd position count (11) is less common than 10 or 12, so double-check the BOM line count before committing. The press-fit termination means the connector is pressed into the board — no solder wicking, but the hole size and plating thickness must match the press-fit pin dimensions per the manufacturer's recommended footprint.
Wire and Termination — IDC with 24-28 AWG Stranded Only
This connector uses insulation displacement contacts (IDC). It accepts 24-28 AWG stranded wire only.
