The Low Insertion Force (LIF) actuator reduces the force needed to seat the FFC, which cuts wear on the cable pads and the contact beams over repeated mating cycles. This is the top-contact version — the FFC's exposed pads face upward when the cable is inserted. It accepts 0.30 mm thick FFC, which covers most standard flex circuits and pre-terminated cables. The straight cable end type means no fold or bend at the connector entry. The phosphor bronze contacts are tin-plated, giving a reliable connection for signal-level currents.
