JST VH Series 8-Position Header, 3.96mm Pitch
Rated at 10A per circuit and 250V, it handles typical industrial control and appliance power levels. A shrouded 1-wall design and a locking ramp fastening type provide positive retention against vibration and accidental disconnection, a step up from unshrouded pin headers. For frequent field-service mating, a gold-plated variant would be preferred.
This header mates with the JST VH series receptacle housings, which accept crimp terminals for 16-22 AWG wire. The solder tails are 0.142" (3.60mm) long, suitable for standard PCB thicknesses. The male pins are square brass with tin plating. The 0.303" (7.70mm) mating length provides good contact wipe during engagement. All 8 positions are loaded, so there are no optional empty slots.
