What This Header Does for Your Board-to-Cable Run
The BM05B-GHS-TBT(LF)(SN)(N): It mates with GH series crimp receptacles (like the GHR-05V-S) to create a locked, vibration-resistant interconnect. The locking ramp provides positive retention; the latch clicks audibly when fully mated. Mated stack height is 7.3mm, which fits inside thin-profile enclosures common in portable electronics, LED lighting, and small appliances.
Pitch, Current, and the 1.25mm Trade-Off
At 0.049" (1.25mm) pitch, the per-contact current ceiling is 1A. That is the practical limit for a tin-plated phosphor bronze contact in a PA9T housing at 85°C ambient. For loads above 1A, you would need a wider-pitch series. The 50V voltage rating covers most low-voltage DC rails (3.3V, 5V, 12V, 24V) found in control boards and consumer electronics. For higher voltage, look at the JST VH or XH series.
Mounting and Pick-and-Place Ready
This header is surface-mount with solder retention features and a pick-and-place pad, making it suitable for automated assembly. Cut Tape works for prototype runs.
The 6-position variant (BM06B-GHS-TBT(LF)(SN)(N)) shares the same 1.25mm pitch, 1A rating, 50V, locking ramp, and 7.3mm stack height. If your harness needs an extra signal line, the 6-position version is a drop-in fit on the same mating receptacle family.
