Board-to-Wire Header with Locking Ramp and Shrouded Walls
Tin is a workhorse finish for moderate-cycle applications — expect several dozen to a few hundred mating cycles before contact resistance drifts. For higher cycle life, a gold-plated sibling in the ZPD series would be the alternative. The UL94 V-0 nylon housing is rated for flammability in equipment inside an enclosure.
Sourced through independent distribution; quantities and lead time confirmed at RFQ. No official second-source cross-reference exists, but the base product number BM12B-ZP is shared across the ZPD series — the full order code BM12B-ZPDSS-TF(LF)(SN) is the specific SMT, tin-plated variant.
This header mates with JST ZPD series crimp-style receptacle housings. The mating terminal is a separate crimp contact (not included) that terminates 22–28 AWG wire. Termination to the PCB is solder-only — surface-mount pads on a 1.50 mm pitch.
The ZPD series offers the same 1.50 mm pitch, dual-row layout, and locking ramp in 16-position (BM16B-ZPDSS-TF) and 18-position (BM18B-ZPDSS-TF(LF)(SN)) variants.
