Position Count and Pitch Trade-Offs
Compared to the 4-position sibling S04B-ZESK-2D, this 2-position header occupies half the board edge length at the same 1.50 mm pitch. For applications needing a straight (vertical) mating axis, the B02B-ZESK-1D offers the same 2 positions and 1.50 mm pitch but with through-hole vertical mounting. The right-angle orientation here is the choice when the cable must route parallel to the board surface.
Mates with JST ZE series crimp receptacle housings (e.g., ZE-series female connectors) using the locking ramp for retention. The kinked pin solder tails provide mechanical hold in the plated through-hole before wave soldering. For higher cycle life or corrosive atmospheres, consider the gold-plated variants in the ZE series.
