The 5047543720 is a 37-position FPC connector from the Molex BackFlip, Easy-On LA75 504754 series, built for tight board-edge routing at 0.30 mm pitch. It terminates to a 0.20 mm thick FPC with a flip-lock actuator that secures the cable without a secondary latch. Contacts on both top and bottom of the FPC allow a single-sided or double-sided circuit pattern, which is typical for camera modules, display interfaces, and compact handheld devices.
Pitch and current – the trade-off at 0.30 mm
At 0.30 mm pitch, the 37 positions fit in a connector body just over 11 mm wide, but the fine pitch limits the per-contact current rating to 0.2 A. The 50 V voltage rating matches the insulation capability of the LCP housing and the 0.30 mm contact spacing.
Rated for 10 mating cycles, which is standard for a gold-flash finish at 3.94 µin thickness – enough for one-time assembly and occasional rework, but not for repeated field disconnect. The gold over copper alloy contact material resists oxidation during storage, but after 10 cycles the gold flash wears and the underlying copper may expose, increasing contact resistance.
