The TE Connectivity Buchanan 1-1776275-2 is a 12-position, single-level PCB terminal block on a 0.138" (3.50 mm) pitch. It terminates 18-26 AWG wire with a screw clamp — the M2.6 screw drives a leaf spring against a wire guard, giving a gas-tight connection that doesn't cold-flow the conductor.
Screw Torque and Termination — the Field-Service Spec
The screw torque spec is 0.28 Nm (2.5 Lb-In). That's the value a field tech needs on the driver — over-torque strips the M2.6 thread in the PA66 housing; under-torque leaves a high-resistance joint that heats under load. The clamp is steel, stainless, and the screw is galvanized steel with chromate plating, so the corrosion resistance is adequate for dry indoor panels but not for washdown or outdoor exposure. The contact material is brass with a copper-tin plating — adequate for the 7 A rating at 250 V, but the tin surface does limit the block to low mating-cycle applications (it's a permanent-wire termination, not a pluggable connector).
Rated 7 A per position at 250 V. The 7 A is a per-position limit under the stated temperature range; the block's single-level construction means no de-rating for vertical stacking, but the current path through the brass contact and tin plating is the limiting factor, not the screw clamp. For a 12-position block carrying 7 A on every circuit, the total heat dissipation is about 12 × (I²R) — keep adjacent blocks spaced to avoid thermal stacking.
