3-Position IDC for Discrete 22 AWG Wire — 4.00 mm Pitch, SMT Right-Angle
The 0.157" (4.00mm) cable pitch matches the board-side pitch, so the wire spacing is consistent from the cable through the termination to the PCB footprint. The closed-end feature means the IDC slot has a back wall — the wire stops when it bottoms out, so the installer gets a positive tactile confirmation that the conductor is fully inserted before the press. No guessing whether the wire is seated to the full depth. It mates reliably with tin-plated header pins in low-cycle applications where the connector is terminated once and stays mated. For repeated disconnect/reconnect duty, the tin-to-tin interface can fret over time; this connector is designed for a one-time termination in a fixed harness assembly.
Board Layout Fit — SMT Right-Angle Footprint
The 0.157" (4.00mm) pitch gives enough room between adjacent solder pads for a standard 22 AWG wire exit without crowding. No through-hole solder tails to worry about; the SMT pads reflow in the same pass as other surface-mount components.
