Current Rating Depends on Wire Gauge
The current rating is wire-gauge dependent: 3.5A per contact with 22-24 AWG wire, and 5A per contact with 18-20 AWG wire. That means the harness builder selects the terminal and wire section to match the load — a 5A circuit needs the heavier 18-20 AWG range, while a 3.5A signal line can use finer 22-24 AWG. The 400V voltage rating gives ample headroom for low-voltage DC or 277VAC lighting circuits.
