The TE Connectivity AMPLIMITE HD-20 2301845-2 is a 15-position D-Sub receptacle with female sockets arranged in two rows. It uses the standard DA shell size (2, DA, A), which is the common footprint for 15-pin D-Sub connectors. Rated at 2A per contact and 250VAC, this is a signal-duty connector — not for power distribution.
Without the board lock, a right-angle D-sub is prone to lifting the solder pads if the cable gets yanked. The mating side carries a female 4-40 screwlock on the flange — this accepts the standard male screwlock from the mating plug or a panel-mount jackscrew. The screwlock is what keeps the mated pair tight under vibration; the friction of the D-shell alone is not enough for industrial or mobile equipment.
The contact finish thickness is specified on the mating side only — the solder tails are not gold-plated, which is typical for D-subs. The tin or solder coating on the tails is sufficient for the solder joint.
