The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches the industry-standard 0.100" pin header footprint and ribbon cable conductor spacing, making this a drop-in interconnect for parallel data or low-current signal harnesses. The Closed End feature blocks one side of the IDC slot — the ribbon cable inserts from the open end only, ensuring the conductors register squarely over the insulation-displacement contacts and preventing a stub from forming on the far side. The housing is black, free-hanging (in-line), and accepts a single row of contacts.
This receptacle mates with a 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch pin header — typically the AMPMODU MTE header series or any industry-standard 0.100" square-pin header. The free-hanging receptacle is the cable-side half; the header is board-mounted. The IDC termination requires a ribbon cable with 22-26 AWG conductors on 0.100" centers. A standard IDC press tool (hand or pneumatic) is used to push the ribbon into the slot; the Closed End acts as a positive stop, so the cable cannot over-travel. The 3-position count is fixed — the receptacle is a single-row, 3-circuit member of the AMPMODU MTE family. For a different circuit count, select the corresponding 103976-base number with the desired position count.
