Stamped Pin for Multimate III+ Power Connectors
As a stamped rather than machined contact, it is suited for high-volume harness builds where the cost per position matters and the current duty falls within the stamped-contact envelope.
Accepts 16-18 AWG stranded wire with the correct crimp die — the stamped barrel geometry is optimized for that gauge range. Crimp termination is standard for automated or semi-automated harness tooling; the contact feeds from Tape & Reel packaging, so it runs through a strip-and-crimp machine without manual handling. The Cut Tape option covers prototype or low-volume builds where a full reel is not justified.
Plating and Duty
Gold plating at 30.0µin (0.76µm) is a mid-grade finish — thick enough for moderate mating cycle counts in corrosive or low-voltage signal circuits, but not the heavy-duty 50µin+ gold used for continuous high-cycle applications. For power circuits where the contact sees bus-level current, the gold layer prevents oxidation on the mating interface that would otherwise increase contact resistance over time. The brass base metal provides adequate spring properties for a stamped contact in a power connector housing.
