It is a single-port, through-hole mount connector with a gold-plated brass body and a gold-plated brass center contact. The Limited Detent feature controls the mating force — it engages with a positive snap but releases with less pull than a full-detent version, which is useful in applications where the connector pair may need to break away under strain or where repeated mating in tight spaces is required.
RF Performance and Signal Integrity
The 6 GHz maximum frequency covers common wireless bands. The gold-over-brass center contact and gold body finish maintain low contact resistance across the rated 500 mating cycles.
Mating and Installation
This is a receptacle with a male pin — it mates with a female SMP connector (typically a cable-mounted plug or a bullet adapter). The snap-on fastening type provides quick connect/disconnect without tools; the Limited Detent means the retention force is moderate, so the pair can be unmated by hand without excessive effort. The through-hole mounting with solder shield termination gives a robust mechanical anchor to the PCB.
