Obsolete 60-Position Mezzanine Header
The Hirose DF12(3.5)-60DP-0.5V(86) is a 60-position, 2-row header from the DF12 series, designed for board-to-board mezzanine connections. It uses a 0.50mm pitch and a mated stacking height of 3.5mm, making it suitable for compact, high-density PCB stacking in portable electronics, handheld devices, and other space-constrained assemblies. The connector features an outer shroud contact design, gold-plated contacts with 8.00µin (0.203µm) thickness, and includes a board guide and solder retention features to aid automated assembly.
The 0.50mm pitch is the tightest common pitch for mezzanine connectors — it demands an HDI-capable PCB with microvias or fine-line routing to fan out the 60 positions. The 3.5mm mated stack height is fixed; the board-to-board gap is set by this connector alone, so the mating half must also be a DF12 series receptacle with the same stack height.
