JST 06R-JWPF-VSLE-D — Sealed 6-Position Receptacle Housing for Harsh Environments
The housing is molded in natural polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and carries a JIS C 0920 Grade Level 7 rating — equivalent to IP67-level protection against temporary immersion when mated with the correct JWPF plug housing and properly installed seal.
The 6 positions in a 2-row layout give you three circuits per row, which is a common count for sensor power and signal pairs in a single harness. The JIS C 0920 Grade Level 7 rating means the mated assembly can withstand temporary immersion in water — this is the same test level as IP67. For a harness builder, this tells you the housing has a seal gasket that compresses against the mating plug, and the latch lock must be fully engaged to maintain the seal. The natural PBT colour is un-pigmented, so the material is the base resin without colour additives — this can matter for UV stability if the connector is exposed to sunlight in an unenclosed application.
Comparison with the 4-Position Single-Row Sibling
The 04R-JWPF-VSLE-S is the 4-position, single-row variant of this same JWPF receptacle housing family. The key difference is the row count: the 06R-JWPF-VSLE-D uses a 2-row layout for 6 circuits, while the 04R-JWPF-VSLE-S uses a single row for 4 circuits. For a harness designer, the single-row version gives a narrower profile but the same per-circuit current capacity — choose based on the available connector cavity space and the number of circuits your BOM requires.
