2.50 mm Pitch IDC Connector for Discrete Wire Harnesses
The JST 08DB-8M(LF) is an 8-position IDC connector from the DB series, designed for terminating individual stranded wires directly without crimp contacts. It uses a 0.098" (2.50mm) pitch on both the cable and board sides, matching the footprint for standard 2.50mm grid layouts. The green, closed-end housing accepts 24-28 AWG stranded wire and terminates via IDC, making it a direct wire-to-board interconnect for harness assemblies where each wire is individually stripped and pressed into the insulation-displacement slot.
Press-Fit Through-Hole Mounting
This suits backplane or high-reliability assemblies where solderless connections are preferred for rework or thermal management. The press-fit interface relies on an interference fit between the pin and the hole wall, so the PCB hole diameter tolerance must match the manufacturer's recommended footprint.
This connector terminates 24-28 AWG stranded wire using an IDC (insulation displacement) process. The closed-end feature prevents wire over-insertion.
