What this 30-position 1mm-pitch header does
The BM30B-SRDS-G-TF is a 30-position, dual-row, shrouded header from JST's SHD series, on a 1.00mm pitch. It terminates to the board via surface-mount solder tails and mates with a corresponding wire-to-board receptacle (not included) to create a board-to-cable connection. For applications exposed to vibration, a locking-type connector would be a better choice; this one is best suited for low-vibration environments like consumer electronics or benchtop equipment.
Board-fit dimensions and stack height
The header sits 4.25mm above the board surface (insulation height) and achieves a mated stack height of 6.3mm with the matching receptacle. This z-height budget is fixed — the board-to-board clearance in the enclosure must accommodate the full 6.3mm plus any component keep-out on the opposite side. The 1.00mm pitch and dual-row layout demand a tight PCB footprint. Pick-and-place compatible for automated assembly.
