Contacts Not Included — What You Need to Order Separately
The HLP-04V ships as an empty housing — the female crimp contacts must be ordered separately. This is standard for JST HL series housings; the terminals are sold as individual line items, typically in reel or strip form for automated crimping or in loose-piece bags for hand-tool assembly. The contact termination is crimp, so you will need the matching female socket terminal (JST part number series SLP or equivalent per the HL series contact specification) and a crimp tool approved for the wire gauge you are running. Plan the BOM with both the housing and the terminal line items — the housing alone does not complete the connector.
