The JST PHDR-18VS is the 18-position, dual-row receptacle housing from the PHD series. It uses a 0.079" (2.00 mm) pitch in both row-to-row and contact-to-contact spacing, which matches the standard 2.00 mm grid for board-to-wire interconnects in compact consumer and industrial electronics.
Termination and Contact Selection
The crimp termination gives a gas-tight connection suitable for vibration-prone assemblies. The dual-row layout with 18 positions means the harness builder needs to populate both rows fully or leave positions empty as the circuit count requires — the housing keying prevents misalignment with the mating header.
Operating Temperature and Environment
The free-hanging mounting style means the connector floats in the harness rather than being board-locked, which helps absorb vibration in wire-to-board runs. The natural (uncolored) nylon housing is the standard PHD-series material — no added pigment that could affect flame rating or dimensional stability.
