The JST PHR-6 is the 6-circuit receptacle housing from the PH series, built for wire-to-board harness work where the pitch is 2.00 mm and the lock needs to hold under vibration. It is a free-hanging (in-line) shell that accepts crimp female socket terminals — you buy the contacts separately, so the BOM line for this housing is just the plastic body.
Why the Contact-Not-Included Note Matters
The housing ships empty. That is not a defect — it is how the PH series works: you crimp the correct female terminal onto your wire, then insert it into the PHR-6 cavity. The JST part for the terminal is the SPH-002T-P0.5S (for 24-30 AWG) or the BPH-002T-P0.5S (for 20-24 AWG), depending on your wire gauge. Order the housing and the terminals as separate line items; a common mistake is ordering the housing alone and stopping.
