Board-fit and routing
Kinked pins provide solder tail stand-off from the board surface, which helps wick solder through the hole during wave or hand soldering. Post length is 3.40 mm, mating pin length is 3.20 mm — the kink does not affect the mating interface depth.
Tin plating is suited for moderate cycling duty; the 3 A rating is typical for signal-level loads (sensors, I/O, low-power actuators) rather than power distribution.
The board guide helps the pick-and-place nozzle seat the part if automated placement is used.
RoHS compliant. No known second-source with identical footprint and locking ramp; the JST PA series is proprietary to JST.
