Pitch, Shrouding, and Mating Half
Pitch is 2.50mm (0.098") — this is the center-to-center spacing between adjacent pins. It matches the XH receptacle series (e.g., XHP-12, B12B-XH-A) and the crimp terminals (SXH-001T-P0.6). If your board layout uses a different pitch, this header will not align. Shrouded 4-wall construction means the header body extends above and around the pins, forming a protective box. This prevents the pins from being bent during handling and ensures the mating receptacle is guided into position before the contacts engage — critical for a 12-position connector where misalignment can damage multiple pins at once.
