14-Position Right-Angle Header for XH Wire-to-Board
The S14B-XH-A(LF)(SN) is a 14-position, single-row header from JST's XH series, built for board-to-cable/wire connections. Tin is a workhorse finish for moderate-cycle, low-cost applications — expect a few dozen matings before visible wear, which is fine for internal harnesses that stay mated for the product life.
What Mates and How It Locks
This header mates with JST XH series crimp receptacles — the detent lock on the header body clicks into the housing latch, giving a positive retention you should hear seat. No secondary lock, so the terminal must be fully crimped and inserted; if it backs out, it's scrap. Termination is press-fit, solder — the square pins (0.098" pitch) go through plated through-holes; the press-fit section holds the part during wave solder.
RoHS compliant, UL94 V-0 rated nylon 6/6 housing. Operating temperature range -25°C to 85°C — suitable for indoor commercial and consumer equipment, not for engine compartments or outdoor washdown.
