Pitch, orientation, and locking — what drives the footprint and the mate
The S6B-ZR-SM4A-TF: At 1.50 mm pitch, this header is denser than the common 2.54 mm pitch headers, saving board space for compact wire-to-board interconnects. This is a step up from a friction-only fit — it resists unseating from cable tug or vibration better than a plain pin header. The SMT version eliminates the need for drilled through-holes on the PCB, but the solder pads must be designed to the 1.50 mm pitch footprint.
Mating half and sourcing posture
This header mates with JST ZH series crimp receptacle housings, such as the ZHR-6 or similar 6-position female housings that accept the appropriate ZH crimp terminals.
