The SM08B-SHLS-TF is an 8-position, single-row header from JST's SHL series, designed for board-to-cable/wire applications. The header is fully shrouded on all four walls, which protects the rectangular outer shroud contacts during handling and prevents mis-mating with the receptacle.
Current and voltage envelope for signal duty
Rated at 1 A per contact and 50 V, this header is suited for low-power signal interconnects, not power delivery. The tin-on-tin contact finish (mating and post) is adequate for moderate mating cycles in controlled environments.

The right-angle orientation means the connector body overhangs the board edge — plan the keep-out zone accordingly.
