The JST XAP-06V-1 is a 6-circuit receptacle housing from the XA series, designed for wire-to-board or wire-to-wire interconnects where the terminals are crimped onto the wire and then inserted into the housing. The 2.50mm pitch keeps the assembly compact while providing enough spacing for 20-26 AWG wire with the correct crimp terminal. The latch lock gives a positive audible click when mated with the corresponding XA header, holding the pair together under vibration without needing a secondary locking clip.
What Fits and What Doesn't
This housing accepts JST XA-series female crimp terminals (order separately — contacts are not included). The crimp terminal part numbers vary by wire gauge; the most common is the SXA-001T-P0.6 for 20-24 AWG. The mating half is a JST XA-series pin header with 2.50mm pitch, single row, 6 positions — typically the B6B-XA series. The latch lock on the housing engages with the ramp on the header shroud. There is no board-mount feature on this housing; it is a free-hanging (in-line) receptacle meant for harness assembly.
