12-Position Receptacle Housing for JST XA Series
The JST XAP-12V-1 is a 12-circuit, single-row receptacle housing from the XA series, designed for free-hanging (in-line) wire-to-board or wire-to-wire connections. It uses a 2.50 mm pitch, which sets the footprint for the mating header and the wire-to-wire spacing. The natural polyamide (PA66) housing carries a latch lock for a positive, audible mate — a feature that keeps the connection seated under vibration in harness assemblies.
Contacts Not Included — Order Separately
This housing ships without contacts. The female socket terminals are crimped onto the wire and then inserted into the housing cavities. The crimp terminal part number for the XA series must be ordered as a separate line item — the housing alone is just the shell. On the harness floor, that means two BOM lines: one for this housing, one for the terminals at the correct wire gauge.
Operating Range and Material Specs
The natural colour is the base resin — no added pigment, which can matter for laser-marking or colour-coding in high-volume harness builds. The housing is ROHS3 Compliant.
