It accepts female socket crimp terminals and terminates via crimp, making it a free-hanging (in-line) wire-to-board or wire-to-wire interconnect. The natural polyamide (PA66) body carries a latch lock for positive retention in moderate-vibration environments — think appliance internal harnesses, automotive interior subassemblies, or industrial control panels where the connection stays mated once assembled.
What You Need to Know About Contacts and Mating
Contacts are not included — the XARP-13V ships as an empty housing. You will need to order the matching JST XA series female crimp socket terminals separately; the housing accepts them after crimping onto 20-24 AWG wire (typical for the series). For the mating half, this receptacle mates with the JST XA series pin header — a through-hole or surface-mount male header on the same 2.50mm pitch. The natural colour is the raw PA66 resin, unpigmented.
