YL Series 16-Position Receptacle Housing
This is a crimp-terminated, free-hanging (in-line) receptacle. The mating half is a JST YL series pin header (male side), also free-hanging or panel-mount depending on the variant. The latch holder on the receptacle engages with the corresponding lock on the header for a vibration-resistant mate.
Position Count Options in the YL Series
The YLR-16V sits at 16 positions in a 2-row layout. If your BOM calls for fewer circuits, the YLR-06V gives 6 positions in the same 2-row, 4.50mm pitch format. For a higher-density harness, the YLR-21V bumps to 21 positions but spreads them across 3 rows — same pitch, same latch style, same crimp terminal family. The 16-position version is the middle ground: more circuits than a 6-position for a multi-wire bundle, without the extra row height of the 21-position.
