Position Counts in the ZHR Family
The ZHR-2 sits at the low end of the ZHR housing series. The 2-position version is the entry point; the same housing profile scales up to ZHR-3 (3 circuits), ZHR-4 (4 circuits), and ZHR-8 (8 circuits) at the same 1.50 mm pitch. Selection is driven purely by the number of circuits on the BOM — the pitch and contact system are identical across the range, so stepping up to a higher position count means a wider housing but no change in the crimp tooling or mating header family.
Contacts and Mating Half
The mating header is the JST B2B-ZR (vertical) or S2B-ZR (side-entry) series, both with 1.50 mm pitch pin headers that lock into this receptacle's integrated latch. The housing is keyed with a polarization rib that prevents reverse mating — a detail that matters when the harness is assembled blind or in a multi-connector panel. The natural colour makes visual inspection of full contact insertion straightforward.
