14-Position Dual-Row Receptacle Housing for ZPD Series
The JST ZPDR-14V-S is a 14-position, dual-row receptacle housing from the ZPD series, designed for free-hanging (in-line) wire-to-board or wire-to-wire interconnects. It uses a 1.50 mm pitch and a latch lock fastening system that gives an audible click when fully mated, holding the pair together under vibration.
Contacts Must Be Ordered Separately
The ZPDR-14V-S ships as a bare housing only — no contacts are included. You need to source the matching female socket crimp terminals (ZPD series) and terminate them onto the wire before inserting into the cavity. The crimp termination is standard for this series; the housing accepts the terminals with a positive retention lock that seats the contact and prevents back-out. Plan the BOM line for the housing plus 14 terminals plus the male header or plug half.
Mating Half and Keying
This receptacle mates with the ZPD series male header (pin header) of the same pitch and position count — a 14-circuit, dual-row, 1.50 mm pitch header. The latch lock on the housing engages a matching ramp on the header shroud, so the pair stays mated without a secondary clip. The dual-row arrangement means the header footprint is 7 pins per row, and the 1.50 mm pitch keeps the board-side routing density moderate — not as tight as 1.00 mm, but enough to fit a 14-circuit interconnect in a compact envelope.
