Mezzanine Plug for Tight Board Stacks
The plug carries center strip contacts with gold flash plating, suited for moderate mating-cycle duty in controlled environments. The mated stack height is 0.211" (5.35mm), which sets the z-axis gap between the two PCBs. This height is the dimension to check against component keep-outs on the underside of the top board — tall capacitors or shielding cans will conflict below that clearance. Built-in board guide features align the plug during mating, preventing the contacts from stubbing against the receptacle. Solder retention features on the SMT tails anchor the connector against shear forces from cable dress or vibration after reflow.
