What the 0.40mm pitch and 60 positions mean for your board stack
The 0.016" (0.40mm) pitch is the tightest common mezzanine pitch — it lets you route 60 circuits through a footprint roughly the width of a fingernail, but it also demands fine trace-and-space capability on the PCB. The dual-row layout with center strip contacts mates with the matching BergStak 0.40mm header, and the 1.5mm mated stacking height sets the z-gap between boards. At 0.057" (1.45mm) above the board, this receptacle keeps the profile low enough for tight enclosures. Gold flash on the contacts provides basic corrosion resistance for the mating interface.
Position count variants — same footprint, different length
The BergStak 0.40mm series shares the same 0.40mm pitch, 1.45mm board height, and 1.5mm stack height across position counts. The 60-position 10164227-0601A1RLF sits between the 50-position 10164227-0501A1RLF and the 90-position 10164227-0901A1RLF. The board footprint changes only in length — the row spacing and pad pitch stay identical.
