The cable group is specified for RG-179, 179A, 179B, 187, 187A, Belden 9221, and M17/94-RG179. That 75-Ohm-looking RG-179 is actually a 50-Ohm variant in this context; the 31-242 is built for 50 Ohm systems, not 75 Ohm video lines.
Termination and Assembly Notes
Shield termination is crimp; the centre contact can be crimped or soldered. The ferrule crimps over the cable braid, the insulator centres the pin, and the sleeve threads over the assembly. Rated voltage is 500 V, which is more than the signal levels on a typical 50 Ohm line — the limit is the cable, not the connector.
