The 61729-1010BLF is the same USB 2.0 Type-B receptacle in every mechanical dimension — 4 contacts, right-angle through-hole, shielded, board lock, 1 A, 1500 cycles, UL94 V-0. The single difference is the contact finish: the -1020BLF uses gold with GXT™, while the -1010BLF uses gold without the GXT™ underplate. For a port that plugs and unplugs daily in a humid or dusty environment, the GXT™ finish on the -1020BLF adds corrosion margin. For a low-cycle internal connection, the -1010BLF saves a few cents per unit.
