USB-A Receptacle for Board-Edge I/O
This 4-contact, right-angle through-hole connector mates with any standard USB-A plug, making it a drop-in replacement or new-design choice for host-side ports on motherboards, front-panel I/O, or equipment rear panels. The shielded shell, made from copper alloy, provides EMI containment to maintain signal integrity at USB 2.0 data rates.
Right-Angle Mount and Board Lock
Contacts are finished with gold on the mating surface, using Amphenol's GXT™ plating technology. This supports 1500 mating cycles — the USB-IF minimum for standard USB-A connectors — making it suitable for field-serviceable ports that see daily plug/unplug duty. The gold plating also resists corrosion in environments with moderate humidity or industrial atmosphere. Rated 2.5 A per contact at 85 °C.
