The 30.0 µ" (0.76 µm) gold or Gold, GXT™ plating on the mating surface provides corrosion resistance and supports repeated mating cycles — a practical choice for field-serviceable assemblies where the connector sees periodic reconnection. The phosphor bronze contact material offers good spring retention and conductivity.
This unshrouded header mates with any standard 0.100" pitch dual-row female socket or IDC receptacle that accepts 0.025" square pins — the BERGSTIK II series itself includes matching receptacles, but the open architecture means it is compatible with a wide range of industry-standard ribbon-cable and discrete-wire connectors. Termination is through-hole solder, with the 0.200" (5.08 mm) post length suited for standard 0.062" to 0.093" PCBs.
