The Amphenol FCI 89947-350LF is the 50-position member of the Minitek® 2.00mm series, a dual-row receptacle designed for mass-termination to 28 AWG ribbon cable via IDC contacts. The 0.079" (2.00mm) pitch on both rows keeps the board footprint compact for a 50-circuit interconnect — each position lands on a 2.00 mm grid, so the total width across the two rows is about 1.97" (50 mm). The black housing is free-hanging (in-line), with a feed-through design and a polarizing key to prevent mis-mating.
IDC Termination and Ribbon Cable Fit
Termination is insulation-displacement (IDC) — the contacts pierce the ribbon cable insulation in one press operation, no stripping or crimping per wire.
