SMA Panel-Mount Jack, 50 Ohm, DC–18 GHz
The 901-2GB100000AE: It sits in the 901-2G series of SMA connectors, built around a 50 Ohm impedance path and rated to 18 GHz maximum frequency — covering the full L, S, C, and X bands plus the lower Ku band.
RF Performance and Mechanical Durability
The 18 GHz ceiling means it handles signals up into the microwave region, suitable for high-speed digital clocks, satellite downlinks, and radar IF stages.
Panel mounting uses the integral flange with clearance holes for two screws — the connector body sits flush against the panel face, and the threaded coupling nut on the mating plug provides the axial compression. The centre contact terminates via a solder tab, which means the signal wire is soldered directly to the tab rather than crimped or clamped. The shield termination is also solder-style, so the cable braid or semi-rigid outer conductor is soldered to the connector body. This termination method gives a reliable DC-to-microwave connection but requires a soldering iron and steady hand — not a field-crimp tool.
