SMA Jack for 50-Ohm RF Paths Up to 18 GHz
The 901-5PB100000AE: It covers DC to 18 GHz, which is the full standard SMA bandwidth — no derating needed at the top end.
The 18 GHz max frequency covers the full SMA band. For a 50 Ohm system under 18 GHz, this is a clean drop-in.
Mounting and Termination — Panel Fit and Solder Tab
The shield termination is solder: the outer conductor of the cable solders to the body, which gives a solid ground connection. The center contact termination is a solder tab — you tin the center conductor and flow solder onto the tab. No crimp tool needed, but the solder joint must be clean to avoid cold solder that could crack under thermal cycling. The panel mount absorbs cable strain so the solder joint isn't the mechanical anchor.
Durability — 500 Mating Cycles and Gold Plating
The stainless steel body doesn't gall on the mating thread, which is a common failure point on lesser SMA connectors after repeated torquing.
